2. MISRA Conference
The MISRA Conference will be held on 29 November 2007 in Coventry, UK. The conference will mark the official launch of the MISRA Safety Analysis Guidelines and the first two publications from the MISRA Autocode activity. The morning will consist of an update on MISRA's activities, followed by keynote presentations on two related activities, the work towards the new automotive functional safety standard ISO 26262 and the revision to the civil aviation software guideline DO-178B.
In the afternoon there will be parallel workshop sessions on the MISRA language subset activities and the MISRA Safety Analysis guidelines.
This event will be an opportunity to learn more about the new MISRA publications, as well as to share user experience with existing documents. There will also be a small exhibition.
Further details, including a programme and how to book, are now available on the MISRA website http:/www.misra.org.uk.
3. MISRA C - call for volunteers
The MISRA C Working Group is about to start on version 3 of MISRA C with an intended publication date of 2010. As some current MISRA C members are retiring, we are looking for some new working group members to fill the vacant slots.
Membership requires attending 2-day working meetings 6 times a year and some additional work between meetings. We are especially interested in people with working experience of critical systems in the following areas: Automotive, Aerospace, Rail, Nuclear, Medical or Communications. Academic input would also be of interest.
Your company/organization will be required to sign the MISRA working group agreement. Please contact chairman@misra-c.com to register your interest and experience.
4. MISRA C++
Recently we released a draft of MISRA C++ for comment. I would like to thank all those who participated in the review. The Working Group are now reviewing these comments in order to prepare MISRA C++ for publication. We will announce the publication schedule at the MISRA Conference.
5. MISRA Web Forum
A reminder of the MISRA Web Forum which can be used to discuss and ask questions about MISRA publications, as well as to obtain the new MISRA C resources. Visit the Forum at http://www.misra-c.com/forum/
